Some of you will be already aware that I recently completed a major writing and publishing goal. After one year, one hundred chapters and ~127,000 words, I concluded the serialisation of INGRESSION, the first novel within
.
I use a separate Substack to host this science fiction series, with one in five readers of my ReidItWrite newsletter also subscribing to receive new novel chapters twice-weekly. Note that the first thirteen chapters of INGRESSION remain open to all. You can read them now. The remainder were all free to read for four days after their individual publications, before being claimed by the ubiquitous Paywall Monster. Writers don’t often allow themselves rest – certainly not their minds – so my preparations for the second novel in The Consilience Series are well underway. I plan to reveal the title and launch day early next month. As with Novel #2’s newly-hatched protagonist, the latter’s date has also been nominatively determined. Sometimes this Universe does conspire to work with you.
But this still isn’t fate, in case you’re wondering…
