Like the obedient Substacker I’m supposed to be, yesterday I pushed the above into the Stacksphere as a first post using Substack’s new Notes feature.
I might plan to use it for things that don’t fit so well into my newsletters, like works-in-progress, quick questions, or maybe links, quotes, photos (yes, just like the dying blue bird thing). You get the idea.
You might care to join my occasional forays into this new territory. But I understand if you prefer to stick to my long-form musings. I do share the oft-cited fears of this feature degenerating into another fine social mess – because people are, well, people. But, ‘benefit of the doubt’, ‘give it a go’, nudge, nudge, monetise, monetise, etc., etc.
There are more details below on using Notes, or you can just jump in now:
How to join Notes
Head to substack.com/notes or find the “Notes” tab in the Substack app. As a subscriber to ReidItWrite, you’ll automatically see my notes. Feel free to like, reply, or share them around.
You can also share notes of your own. It may become a space where readers of ReidItWrite can share thoughts, ideas, and interesting quotes from the things we're reading on Substack and beyond. If it doesn’t then it won’t be your fault.
If you encounter any issues, you can always refer to the Notes FAQ for assistance. I look forward to seeing some of you in there.
