A Valentine Gift
If I'm still wearing my jeans then it was only a dream.
As it’s St. Valentine’s Day, this might be less of a dream if you don’t wear your jeans…
In the three years I’ve devoted to writing, I’ve discovered a preference for taking alternatively gendered points of view. As with my neighbourly short story, I may have been excessively bold in penning the verse below. As always, you are both my judge and jury.

Undressed In The Negative
If I was wearing my jeans, then it was only a dream. For they cannot rise from hands sliding up thighs. I would fail in removing my lingering excuse of false inhibition. The bared skin of my hips could not have been gripped by my imagined ignition; of not taking you in, nor riding your tide of still dressed desire, until none of your cries were as joyous as mine. So I will say once again, it was only a dream. For nothing can happen when I’m wearing my jeans
